I refused to call this basketball bully by his assumed name, he is Ron Artest. During the Lakers vs Pistons game February 5, 2013, Ron Artest just sucker punches Brandon Knight. Not only did he punch him, his right hand held Brandon Knight as Brandon struggled to get away from this dirty player. Take note of the non-reactive facial expression of Artest. He doesn't realize he's doing something wrong or that millions are watching him do it.
When will the NBA realize that this brute is never going to change? Will it take Ron Artest running to a stashed gym bag under the front row, grabbing a gun and blowing away another player? That's what this guy is capable of. Screw these suspensions, screw these fines! Send his ass home indefinitely! Let him go play in the euro league, where if he pulled stunts like this his family would be kidnapped and held for ransom.
I'm starting to believe that the NBA's front office takes their pants off when Ron Artest performs like this. Why? Because it gets all the bloggers, announcers, and analyst talking about it. Which in tell sells tickets to games because people want to be there when he does the next unthinkable act.
At the end of the day Ron Artest and the media are being punked by the NBA because we run with this story every time it occurs. What example is this setting for the upcoming set of NBA players?
