How Quickly We Forget

The Red Cross is overwhelmed, people are still without power and clean water, Americans are going hungry and the world is concerned about Kate Middletons morning sickness. How quickly we forget.

Never mind there was a huge ass storm that is being referred to as "Katrina for Jersey". Never mind the over 400 lives that were lost. Never mind the fatherless children and motherless daughters. Forget the business owner that was already running on a shoe string budget and couldn't afford the insurance to rebuild his business. Never mind any of that, the royal family is having a baby.

Who gives a flying crap. We are such a short minded world. Have we forgotten? Have we stopped to really take account of what is important? Has every news media outlet just turned the cameras from life to infatuation? Why have we forgotten?

It's times like these you can fully gage why the world is the way it is. If the talking moving picture box tells us to change our focus we instantly follow. We're slowly becoming mindless drones, slaves to the media hype machine.

People, think for yourselves. It's still an acceptable thing to do.

And to the rest of the world. When your foes start bombing the hell out of your country don't come to the US for protection, ask the Royal family of Psy. You give them your attention, why not asked them to protect you.
